“The 2009 Great Recession hit my family hard. We were part of the class action suit against Wells Fargo. In that struggle we lost our home and had to move. My family wondered how we were going to pay bills and or have enough for groceries. It’s a world many of us experienced. Growing from a teenager to an adult, I attempted to help my family — I applied for jobs everywhere I could hoping I could support my family. I’ve lived through what working and middle-class families deal with in Prince William County — and I know we deserve better from our leaders. That’s why I want to serve the residents of the Coles District.” - Idris O’Connor
